Artix Does not Boot on BIOS Machines 02 May 2020, 15:34:04 Artix does not boot on BIOS machines and only boots on UEFI machines. On BIOS machines live boot is stuck with black screen and nothing happens. In the top left corner one can only see something like this "GRUB" text. An that's it nothing happens.Expected result: Artix booting on BIOS machines. Just like Kubuntu 20.04 or Fedora 32 or Debian 10.x.

Re: Artix Does not Boot on BIOS Machines Reply #2 – 03 May 2020, 15:37:56 I've seen the problem once TBH, on a Fujutsu-Siemens C2D laptop. But in every other BIOS setup I've tested (at least 20 different cases), it works. Must be a GRUB quirk.

Re: Artix Does not Boot on BIOS Machines Reply #4 – 05 May 2020, 03:06:19 Some boards can be configured to boot from bios OR uefi.On such boards the same stick may be represented multiple times ie once as uefi and once as bios since the image contains both .The default choice of the board will probably be uefi.Gigabyte B150-HD3P is one such board where this happens .If your board has a boot-menu, it will show the same stick multiple times, once as bios and once as uefi,
