[SOLVED] Unable to modprobe NVIDIA despite using the LTS kernel.

Hello! Yesterday I decided to try and install NVIDIA drivers after switching to the OpenRC flavor of Artix less than a week ago, and for some reason I keep getting this error (with both 5.9 and LTS) whenever I run "sudo modprobe nvidia":

modprobe: ERROR: Error running install command '/bin/false' for module nvidia: retcode 1
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia': Invalid argument

Whenever I run "sudo nvidia-settings" I also get this error:

ERROR: NVIDIA driver is not loaded

ERROR: Unable to load info from any available system


...and whenever I run "primusrun glxgears" I get this error:

primus: fatal: Bumblebee daemon reported: error: Could not load GPU driver

Currently, the kernel I am using is 5.4.72-1-lts but I am still getting the same errors, despite re-installing nvidia-dkms after switching kernels.
If it helps, here is some system info for you guys:

Is nvidia blacklisted in your system?

Not really. A line like,

install nvidia /bin/false

in /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf will prevent the module from being loaded at all.

Quite possibly actually, as I did try installing (and ended up uninstalling) some GPU switching programs like bbswitch, so there might be some residual files blocking the drivers. Unfortunately I do not have any experience with blacklisting anything, as I am still relatively new to Linux, so I may need some help with that.

Thank you for this!! I finally managed to fix it  :D
There was a linked file in the directory you mentioned that was for an Optimus switcher that I had previously uninstalled, so I removed that link and also went into /lib/modprobe.d, looked in the files in there, and removed any lines in bumblebee.conf that blacklisted NVIDIA, then rebooted into LTS. Everything is working perfectly now! Thank you for your support  :)
