Wifi disconnects when lid is closed

Hi guys, I'm having a problem where my laptop disconnects from wifi whenever the lid is closed. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Your laptop power management is likely set to sleep or hibernate when the lid is closed and the wifi is shutting down to conserve energy and activity. I don't know which desktop environment you are using, but you should be able to set that option in the power management section of the system settings.

Best regards.
We should try to be kind to everyone.....we are all fighting some sort of battle.

I believe I also experience this, it could be that the antennas in the lid have a bad reception in closed state (probably my case).

By default, lid close suspends. This shuts down all subsystems (disks, display card, network cards...) and only gives enough power to the memory banks to preserve their contents. It's a feature, not a bug.

Is there a way to disable the feature? Because sometimes I need to close the lid but still need to connect to the internet

Can this be disabled?
