[SOLVED] General question AUR Packages in artix-xfce-openrc-20210426-x86_64.iso

Hello,

I checked, which packets are installed. I am pretty sure I did't install any AUR. So I am a little bit irritaded, because use AUR is of own risk.
Is it possible that following AUR are installed by default?
Is this the official packet list, ore is there an other one I didn't current find?
https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=artix&pkglist=true&version=20210426#pkglist

aria2
midori -> this is also available in Artix Repos.
orage
xfce4-timer-plugin
zeitgeist

aur/orange-cat-bin 0.2.2-1 (0, 0.00)
aria2 is in the community repository, and xfce4-timer-plugin is in extra repository, which are Arch repositories, and not AUR.

The only package out of those you listed that is in AUR is orange, which is also unrelated to midori.

They (minus orange) are required by midori, which is, interestingly, also in the community (Arch) repository. So I guess midori should be added to Artix repositories.

Thank you!

I use octopi. (Only for looking, what is installed!). May be octopi show wrong information. Then sorry.

For me only is important, that these installed AUR are ok.

After Install I disabled all aktivated Arch Repos in pacman.conf.

I haven't used octopi, but pacman agrees with pikaur on those packages found to be in the Arch repositories "community" and "extra".

What is that package "orage" (not "orange")? I can't find it even in AUR with the AUR helper, nor on the AUR website.

The command picaur is not found. In the Iso actual available Iso (2021-04-26 02:26:37) the Arch Reps were enabled by default?
So may be also this AUR which are sown in octopi?
After fresh Install I first run update and aborted it, because I have read, that Arch Repos should be disbaled. So I disabled the Arch Repos in pacman.conf first.

This is from xfce. I think this was taken over from xfce. It is the calendar which is shown by default in the panel after first install.
But for example Artix xfce Installation is different to other xfce versions i had before. It don't take over the same contents from xfce like Manjaro or Ubuntu do. So catfisch and engrampa was not included in thunar. In the xfce version from Manjaro they are automaticly shown in the Kontextmenü from thunar.

I guess, that there soon will be a new Iso version, where the Arch Repos are disabled?

we removed midori from artix because is dead,  use epiphany instead, need no gnome deps, and is active developed.

xfce4-timer-plugin can i import, if not imported to artix     imported

orage is dead too, same as midori, and moved to AUR = will not imported to artix
https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?pid=61008#p61008

aria2 is dead too, no chance for import

engrampa is imported and should works with thunar via thunar-archive-plugin (it's only optional dep)

zeitgeist will be imported to artix

But not in the ISO ;)  This is the "Problem".  It is really irritating, when a Artix Iso install AUR by default.
This AUR were installed with the actual xfce-openrc iso ;)  https://iso.artixlinux.org/iso/artix-xfce-openrc-20210426-x86_64.iso

I don't want midori. Which Distri install that browser by default? I use tor,  jonDoFox, Firefox with different profiles,  because FF I can modifie very good https://www.privacy-handbuch.de/ and have some good addons.

I never heard epihany and don't know this.
May be you like to use epihany in the next Isos? The Browser I want to use I choose myself and uninstall the default browser if I don't want him.

The timer-plugin from xfce were installed by default vom iso.

I don't need orage. It was installed by default with xfce-iso ;)
I removed midori and orage.
I just wanted to know if this is normal, that an Artix Iso install AUR.
And which of them I can uninstall, because not needed from system.

I suspect that I don't need aria2 because I don't use torrent.
I suspect zeitgeist I need, resp. can be useful?

And where do I find the actual?

You say often and with pleasure people should read the wiki and mainpage.

Very friendly ;) Hmm what a luck that Artix is an RR and old Isos are not so important, when the system is updated.
Ok, it is my fault, if I use the Link from Mainpage to the Isos.

More up-to-date ISO images are provided in the weekly builds below.
2 months old ISO in  rolling-release model are objectively too old, given how many packages are updated daily.

what you want to discuss more? all your problems have been solved, or not?  ;) your question "Is it possible that following AUR are installed by default?" was answered.

We support no AUR (some packages from AUR are in universe), you mentioned packages are from old iso, much has changed during that time since april 2021. so I think the reason for "closing" is understandable.
