NFS mount serving as a cachedir not recognized by pacman

Hi everyone! :)

Does anyone else have problems with pacman being unable to recognize a cachedir that is an NFSv4 mount. This is a recent thing as the nfs mount used to work like a charm prior to the pacman update I suppose.

Pacman spits out the following warning:
Code: [Select]
warning: couldn't find or create package cache, using /tmp/ instead

My nfs mount has the following mount options:
Code: [Select]
type nfs4 (rw,relatime,vers=4.2,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,namlen=255,soft,proto=tcp,timeo=600,retrans=2,sec=sys)

The cachedir directory has the following chmod and owner:
Code: [Select]
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root

Let me just say that an alternative LOCAL MOUNT cachedir specified in pacman.conf as a secondary source works with no problems at all.

Best,
Matt
