System would not boot with yesterday's update (all good now)

Starting the computer this morning, I saw a bunch of issues (nvidia was clearly visible on the problematic modules).
I had a shell, but no network (the NetworkManager was started, but not enabled, whatever that means)

I rebooted using an older kernel, updated again, and it was fixed.

Anyone else got the problem ? (Or knows what could have happened?)
