pacman repos for some other programs?

I've included some "arch" repos by also installing artix-archlinux-support but I still cannot get pacman to find many programs that I need:

sylpheed
gftp
nedit
rosegarden
qjackctl
qsynth
zynnaddsubfx-dssi
nedit
seamonkey

to name only the more urgent ones.

If I feed "sylpheed artix pacman repo" to google, none of the hits include sylpheed (as an example)

/etc.pacman.conf looks like this:

Code: [Select]
#
# /etc/pacman.conf
#
# See the pacman.conf(5) manpage for option and repository directives

#
# REPOSITORIES
#   - can be defined here or included from another file
#   - pacman will search repositories in the order defined here
#   - local/custom mirrors can be added here or in separate files
#   - repositories listed first will take precedence when packages
#     have identical names, regardless of version number
#   - URLs will have $repo replaced by the name of the current repo
#   - URLs will have $arch replaced by the name of the architecture

# The header [repo-name] is crucial - it must be present and
# uncommented to enable the repo.

# The gremlins repositories are disabled by default. To enable, uncomment the
# repo name header and Include lines. You can add preferred servers immediately
# after the header, and they will be used before the default mirrors.

Your /etc/pacman.conf doesn't include Arch repos.  artix-archlinux-support package provides a support for Arch repos, but doesn't add them to /etc/pacman.conf.  Arch repos should be added to /etc/pacman.conf by hand.  Artix Wiki explains how to do it:

https://wiki.artixlinux.org/Main/Repositories#Arch_repositories

Only zynnaddsubfx-dssi is not present in Arch.  Others are either in [community] or in AUR:

Code: [Select]
sylpheed < aur
gftp < community
nedit < community, aur
rosegarden < community
qjackctl < community, aur
qsynth < community, aur
zynnaddsubfx-dssi < not found
nedit < community, aur
seamonkey < community, aur

Edit: pacman doesn't work with AUR.  To install smth from AUR, you need to install an AUR helper first.

Hello,

They are all in the community repository.

zynaddsubfx too :
Code: [Select]
pacman -Ss zynaddsubfx
community/yoshimi 2.1.2.2-1 (pro-audio)

merci

I now use only Zynn...-dssi in rosegarden as my backing tracks for future use are mostly all done and remaining tweaks need only the dssi in rosegarden.  (The standalone Zynn as well as well as Yoshi are great apps no doubt!

Thanks, I installed all of the above I think except Zynn...-dssi, this is already a huge step forward!
