LightDM freezes on login attempt after light-locker

hi, when screensaver puts off the screen light-locker lock the session, then, when i try to login, the first attempts fails and prompt the login screen again. its been working in the second try, but now the screen goes black after the second try. I have to switch to tty1 and kill light-locker, then I can still use the desktop but without locker.
reinstall the gdk-pixbuf2 package doesn't work to me.

i use open-rc, dont have OpenRC lightdm init script and i dont know if required.

Yes, it is required. Get rid of xdm and xdm-openrc, then install lightdm-openrc, enable and activate the lightdm service, and reboot.

---ask to remove displaymanager-openrc in conflict, say yes---
rc-update add lightdm default
rc-service lightdm start
reboot

the system is working but, when back after suspend in ram, lightdm prompts the login screen, with the same behavior.
screen goes black and freeze.

TL;DR: It's a Pandora's box of possible issues and solutions, most often having to do with video drivers interaction, but of course having all other possibilities open.

Uninstall light-locker and use the default DE screen locker instead, for e.g. MATE it's mate-screensaver.

Same for me.
I also have freezes with LightDM since a couple of days.
I removed light-locker that sort of solved the problem because now no lock program is called.
I have mate-screensaver installed but it will not called after resume from suspend.

Any ideas ?
