Don't you know by any chance, how AUR's telegram-desktop-bin differs from community/telegram-desktop? (I'm asking because mine is installed from community, AFAIR upgraded recently, but has no sound with pipewire for a pretty while, don't know where to look.)

As far as I know and see, telegram-desktop is available in omniverse repo.

But I haven't tested the package.

Please check:

Omniverse
This is another unofficial repository maintained by an Artix team member. It contains packages from the AUR or [community], some with potentially offending (i.e. non-free) licenses. Some included packages are: libreoffice-still, firefox, filezilla, audacious, vscodium, remmina, timeshift, displaylink, autokey, tmux and terminator. The complete list of packages and their description can be found on http://omniverse.artixlinux.org/x86_64.
Unlike [universe], this is hosted on a third-party server but the packages are signed by artist.

Code: [Select]
[omniverse]
  Server = http://omniverse.artixlinux.org/$arch

I think there are no more repos that are common to be used in Artix (including the Arch repos that I personally prefer adding to pacman.conf while using only pacman for package management). I don't count the AUR (I personally don't practise building packages from there). And this omniverse repo is kind of user repo also. I don't have it enabled on my to-go system. But I enabled it before for the sake of having some package that was available in the AUR only.

The details on omniverse were taken from Artix wiki (section 'Repositories').

@cat herders of linux @D-man has linked the page from Artix wiki which explains the categorization of the repositories in detail. Just to add that there's nothing wrong with using the package repositories from AUR, as long as one is aware of the fact that any random person from the Internet can program anything within them. With AUR, it's "anything goes", and support can't be expected here, but on https://aur.archlinux.org.

I am pretty sure that archlinux has far more than just two mirrors.  ;D
Consequently, I would not look in /etc/pacman.conf but in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist-arch.
