How do I extend battery life on laptop?

I installed Artix linux along dinit + kde plasma on Dell G3 3500.
also which driver should I use intel-pstate?

For the battery life part of the question, I would suggest dim the screen to the minimum brightness, that's the main setting which saves power. Also try and avoid high cpu usage activities if possible, close any unused apps and browser tabs. There were also 2 purchase options of a 3 cell 51 Wh and a larger 4 cell 68 Wh battery for that model, however be careful as they have different voltages so cannot be interchanged. Depending on the situation you had in mind you could use an inverter (try and get a modified or pure sine wave model, which is quite easy to do now, the old basic square wave ones might shorten psu life) and large 12V battery, (perhaps running from the car battery if you were in a car) and possibly add a solar panel or something for an off grid scenario. Not very convenient if you need to carry it about though.  ;D
