brave-bin outdated in universe

So I have the universe repo enabled. No real issues coming from that. However, the aur/brave-bin package is consistently updated whereas the universe/brave-bin is consistently not being updated. Since updates are always relatively important, is there a way to contribute and ensure the universe one is updated properly?

The  main issue is that yay defaults to universe over aur (which would be preferable otherwise), but anyone who installs from universe will get an increasingly outdated (and insecure) version of brave going forward. What's the optimal way to reach out and get this fixed?

The current version diffs are 1.32 vs 1.40
