Section (1/25) failed to copy permissions

Starting a couple of days ago, I get the following errors while installing, the same with runit and openrc

(1/25)

Failed to copy permissions from /etc/group to /etc/.#group......: No such file or directory
Error: command failed to execute correctly

(2/25) Creating temporary files
/usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/libutempter.conf:1: Failed to resolve group 'utmp': No such process

Unfortunately this problem is above my current understanding, however looking through the arch gitlab, the point of error seems to be at sysusers?

Has there been a breaking change to esysusers?

If someone could explain the installation process (programs involved)

The error is occuring at the end of basestrap /mnt base base-devel runit elogind-runit linux-lts

I am interested to understand the logic order

I performed a clean install today and the problem appears to be fixed. No more errors. Not sure what the fix was, but happy to be back to normal.
