Purple's Steam not working

Hey guys, my Steam account won't connect in pidgin. I can't seem to find the package for it either yet. I've erased it and re-entered it with a new code but it still does not work. It just says unknown error.

Edit: The package is called pidgin-opensteamworks. Not sure what to do with this

These modern services have got weak APIs, and Steam while being the better out of them makes no exception unfortunately, unless the guy who made the plugin will update it after 2 years that is.
