mintstick borked after conversion and updates (solved) - NOT Solved

Now see the problem with mintstick is i don't know the custom commands to run it in the terminal or if it can be correctly run in the terminal with just mintstick, however - there it is


ok, so after readinfg the thing i took a wild leap to look for xapps in the repo in the off chance that was the missing file and it is listed in the pamac and so i installed it and blamo

ok, so it's not really solved then:

after trying to format a usb drive it just hangs and doesnt seem to do anything

the image writer process seems to be working... ill know in a minute or two

Hey LizziAS,

I use isousb from the repository. Format fat32 it always works well.

Yah ok.. mintstick worked on manjaro though so it's what I'm used to, ya know?

Not trying to be sarcastic but have you actually tried dd ?

Perhaps a few ideas from the Arch wiki:

If none of the native solutions work you might have some success using one of the windows apps in wine.

Pretty sure you're very frustrated by now but please don't go kicking any puppies. ;)

I do admire your determination. Keep at it, nothing like a good challenge.

Just installed mintstick to see what's up and try to help It works fine the progress bar stops 25%  formatting to fat32 it only removes headers if DD was used but rewrites ISOs fine.
This as far as I know is normal. if already fat partitioned it will  format to ntfs-3g and ext4. To recreate the partition table gparted is needed.
 I wrote 3 different ISOs using it they all booted fine. I also tried Etcher that was also fine and suse imagewriter as well.
check you have all the deps for file systems installed
