Hi!
Today I installed Rosegarden, Qsynth, jack2, qjackctl to my Artix on a multiboot external hd.
This machine has been running well for a couple years on most of is Linux distros, with normal eventual problems - often caused by lack of knowledge/experience on my part.
As usual I installed the packages with the format:
sudo pacman -Syu <packagename>
Upon rebooting I get a login screen (by xfwml) and when I login I get a black screen and a pointer which I can move around, but nothing else happens.
I can Ctrl-Alt-Del but get a spinning point which spins forever.
I could Ctrl-Alt-F3 and then did reinstall 'xfdesktop' (4.18.1_1) and 'xfwml' (4.18.0_1) but to no avail.
pacman informs there is nothing to update.
