Nouveau crashes / freezes fixed?

I've had occasional random crashes / freezes with Nouveau for years on my M4500, typically when combining graphics heavy apps like running youtube in a browser playing music in one tab and using another site too, like eBay, or perhaps the browser and youtube in combination with running VLC playing a video or music, and had pretty much given up on it ever changing, but it sounds like at least one memory corruption bug has been found and fixed, so perhaps things will improve if that fix makes it into the stable kernel, if it hasn't already got there, although it might just fix someone else's problem. One of the related bug reports did mention an M6500 which is a larger screen version of the M4500 so it might be relevant.
