[SOLVED] pacman fails to install qemu-desktop

As the subject says I have been trying to install qemu-desktop for like 6 hours now. I have tried to use both the "world" repository which is of artix and the "extra" repository which is of arch.

I have tried following the instructions here without success: https://forum.artixlinux.org/index.php/topic,2695.0.html

I have also tried the following commands:

I am now convinced that this error is either of this specific package or complete witchcraft beyound my ability to comprehend. Please help:

Could you try the version in world-gremlins? That one should work.

Can you explain why that worked? I would have never thought to fix it that way in one million years.

Probably because I screwed up the version in world the other day when updating the testing one. I'll just move it to stable.
