Arch/extra package present in fresh install

I have a few-day-old install of the Xfce spin, and trizen informed me that libvdpau-va-gl was not found in AUR -- skipping.
After some searching, I found that this package is in Arch/extra, not in any of the Artix repos or the AUR. How did this get here? Can/should I remove it safely? I want to avoid enabling Arch repos on this machine if I can.

This depends on your videochip model and of course your needs. But it is not crucial component of the system afaik.
