Error at opening OBS studio 07 October 2024, 01:26:31 I get this error when I try to open OBS studio on Artix, no matter which option I select the program does not open. 'OBS did not shut down properly during your last session.Would you like to start in Safe Mode (third-party plugins, scripting, and WebSockets disabled)?'
Re: Error at opening OBS studio Reply #1 – 07 October 2024, 02:43:15 ~/.config/obs-studioRename it to something else eg. ~/.config/obs-studio.bakThen try to start obs. If it now works good though you'd have to set it up again to the options you require.Otherwise it must be something else. In that case rename obs-studio.bak to it's original name again. Also under that dir is a sub-dir 'logs'. Look in the most recent few logfiles to see if there is more info ?
Re: Error at opening OBS studio Reply #2 – 08 October 2024, 19:31:08 When I did that it did not even give me a error message. It just did not open. When I open the log file I get this.14:27:23.528: Using EGL/X1114:27:23.528: CPU Name: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7300HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz14:27:23.528: CPU Speed: 3323.882MHz14:27:23.528: Physical Cores: 4, Logical Cores: 414:27:23.528: Physical Memory: 15765MB Total, 13015MB Free14:27:23.528: Kernel Version: Linux 6.11.1-artix1-114:27:23.528: Distribution: "Artix Linux" Unknown14:27:23.528: Desktop Environment: XFCE (xfce)14:27:23.528: Session Type: x1114:27:23.528: Window System: X11.0, Vendor: The X.Org Foundation, Version: 1.21.114:27:23.529: Qt Version: 6.7.3 (runtime), 6.7.2 (compiled)14:27:23.529: Portable mode: false14:27:23.565: OBS 30.2.1-1 (linux)14:27:23.565: ---------------------------------14:27:23.566: ---------------------------------14:27:23.566: audio settings reset:14:27:23.566: samples per sec: 4800014:27:23.566: speakers: 214:27:23.566: max buffering: 960 milliseconds14:27:23.566: buffering type: dynamically increasing14:27:23.574: ---------------------------------14:27:23.574: Initializing OpenGL...14:27:23.740: Loading up OpenGL on adapter Intel Mesa Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 (KBL GT2)14:27:23.740: OpenGL loaded successfully, version 4.6 (Core Profile) Mesa 24.2.4-arch1.1, shading language 4.6014:27:23.778: ---------------------------------14:27:23.778: video settings reset:14:27:23.778: base resolution: 1920x108014:27:23.778: output resolution: 1280x72014:27:23.778: downscale filter: Bicubic14:27:23.778: fps: 30/114:27:23.778: format: NV1214:27:23.778: YUV mode: Rec. 709/Partial14:27:23.778: NV12 texture support enabled14:27:23.778: P010 texture support not available14:27:23.785: Audio monitoring device:14:27:23.785: name: Default14:27:23.785: id: default14:27:23.785: ---------------------------------14:27:23.794: Failed to load 'en-US' text for module: 'decklink-captions.so'14:27:23.802: Failed to load 'en-US' text for module: 'decklink-output-ui.so'14:27:23.811: A DeckLink iterator could not be created. Re: Error at opening OBS studio Reply #4 – 10 October 2024, 22:19:30 Sorry I missed these replies. You installed decklink. Sorry if this comes across as patronising but do you have a "Blackmagic Design DeckLink, Intensity or Multibridge video editing cards" as the Aur page describes ?If yes, and this is a longshot, these lines stand out:Quote14:58:25.730: Failed to load 'en-US' text for module: 'decklink-captions.so'14:58:25.739: Failed to load 'en-US' text for module: 'decklink-output-ui.so'Maybe try un-commenting #en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8 in /etc/locale.gen and runningCode: [Select] sudo locale-genagain.I doubt that would work but I do remember a time (long ago) when Steam used to get upset if you didn't.For what it's worth I can't get OBS to work fully myself. Screen Capture (XSHM) works but Screen Capture (pipewire) is just black.
