galaxy/libreoffice-still: `libicuuc.so.75: cannot open shared object file: […]`.

After a system upgrade, system/icu was updated to version 76.

galaxy/libreoffice-still has no versioned dependencies on the icu libraries (suggestion: Please add this!), but now fails to launch:

loffice:
Code: [Select]
/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libicuuc.so.75: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory[/tt]

Regards!

Should be ok now, if not then pls try another mirror.

Hi,

For me, it is not okay. I receive this error when start LibreOffice Calc:

Component cannot be loaded, possibly broken or incomplete installation.
Full error message: loading component library <file:///usr/lib/libreoffice/program/../program/libsclo.so> failed..

galaxy/libreoffice-still: Calc fails with `loading [...] libsclo.so> failed.`

icu version issue is gone, but now:

Trying to run libreoffice --calc (but not just generic libreoffice or libreoffice --writer), I also get an untitled dialogue window saying
Quote
Component cannot be loaded, possibly broken or incomplete installation.
Full error message: loading component library <file:///usr/lib/libreoffice/program/../program/libsclo.so> failed.
; when I acknowledge it (I only have an "OK" button) LibreOffice exits with exitcode 0.

That issue indeed reproduces, but the file is present and executable.
There's a new version that needs to be built in goblins, but not sure if that fixes this issue.
I'll try to do and test that tomorrow.

This will fix the problem once the mirrors have synced:

    pacman -Sy libixion liborcus

LibreOffice writer crashes on clicking "Default Page Style".

Arch Linux' extra/libreoffice-still version 24.8.3 and 24.8.5 (!Yes, they updated it to a newer version than what is currently in Artix!) do not show this issue.

I also observe another issue with Artix' galaxy/libreoffice-still, which is not present in Arch's extra/libreoffice-still:

Starting libreoffice --writer, then clicking on the bottom of the window on "Default Page Style", makes the window immediately crash and LibreOffice then seems to restart, first showing a dialogue saying
Quote
Due to an error, LibreOffice crashed. All the files you were working on will be saved now. The next time LibreOffice is launched, your files will be recovered automatically.

The following files will be recovered:

Untitled 1

Clicking on "OK", gives me the file restoration dialogue, recovering Untitled 1 brings me back to LibreOffice writer.

The terminal from where I started libreoffice --writer shows
Code: [Select]

(the messages with CRITICAL appear only after the restore dialogue is showed.)

A run of gdb --args /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin --writer already crashes once on normal startup (which it does not without gdb), but typing cont in GDB makes it continue.

Below the terminal output of the GDB session; the second backtrace is the one triggered when clicking on "Default Page Style":

Note: My previous post was kind of a "race condition": I drafted it before your last post arrived to me and refers to the state before updating libicion and liborcus (both at version 0.19.x).

This will fix the problem once the mirrors have synced:

    pacman -Sy libixion liborcus

artis
I have now installed:

* galaxy/libreoffice-still version 24.8.4-4,
* world/libixion version 0.20.0-1 (just has been updated now),
* world/liborcus version 0.20.0-1 (has just been updated now).

The issues with
* LibreOffice Calc not starting, and
* LibreOffice Writer crashing while clicking on Default Page Style
are gone.

The jvm related crash inside a GDB session is still there:
