Hi,
During install I just installed the base-kde for plamsa desktop. If I wanted everything preinstalled I'd run locally from the install medium an install. My question is now, is there a third party repository for installing the plasma suite of apps, games on top of the base install or would I need to find a list of packages seperately to install in a one liner command? It's just that things went past that stage in the install but I would like to keep things as unbranded as possible with no extra browsers other than the default, so I went for the base install.
I am new here - but from Gentoo so please be kind - I've spent many years compiling and have face lines to prove it..
I'm looking for the easier life - maybe retirement ;D
all important you find in repos of artix/archlinux or in AUR. you need not 3rd-party repository, just use
for search and
for install.
for example: pacman -Ss kde is same as https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?q=kde
from AUR (where are more rare or unstable or commercial version, etc.) you must compile yourself or automatic if you install for example trizen
trizen can you use for AUR:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/?O=0&SeB=nd&K=kde&outdated=&SB=l&SO=d&PP=50&do_Search
Normally you need not use AUR, lot of packages are precompiled by archlinux or by us.
:D Thanks Alium
