Title: Updating system too slow
Post by: armandrix on 19 May 2020, 05:03:41
Hi,

I'm wondering if it's usual to download packages at 30 - 40 kb/s... that's my average speed when updating system via pacman and unmodified mirrorlist file... I'm in Brazil - south america, my usual bandwidth is 7mb (named 50mb). Which mirror is preferred ?

Tx in advance.

You can do:  rankmirrors /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist and it will output the best mirror for you; take that list and replace /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist with it
