Title: [Solved] Live USB drive not booting with runit or s6
Post by: shoober420 on 15 August 2020, 05:06:24
I tried booting off of a Live USB drive with the runit iso and the s6 iso on two different computers, and they both freeze during boot as the same spot.

s6-rc: info: service pacman-init started successfully

Figured it out. Apparently, live iso images don’t support PS/2 keyboards, or at least ones with an adapter. I have a Steelseries 6Gv2 keyboard with an USB to PS/2 adapter. Making use of the adapter and hooking up a PS/2 keyboard will not register keystrokes, and the “Num”, “Caps”, and Scroll lights on the top right of the keyboard all blink when a keystroke is pressed, but it’s not registered. This was also confirmed with an Arch live iso.
