When I print from chromium or vivaldi and _don't_ use "über das Systemdialogfeld drucken" ("print over system dialogue field" maybe translated), the printed text is too big, only grayscale and mostly unreadable when multiple text parts / layers are in the same line.

The result is okay, when I use the "Systemdialogfeld". I am wondering if there is maybe an easy fix for the "normal" printing method/button.

I use CUPS, the printer is an Epson XP-412 and the driver is epson-inkjet-printer-escpr (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr/). I have intentionally installed this driver, to see if I get the same printing problems as a friend with SolusOS and this driver (and an Epson XP-3?? .. ).

I have also tried with Firefox and it printed without this problem.

Is it the chromium alium maintains in his universe repo?

Is there any log or so you could provide? Mehr Hinweise?

/etc/cups/cupsd.conf looks like an html document which is part of the website under localhost:631 (cups management/verwaltung)

This Chromium is package by archlinux, we can do not so much. Can you share the page for print? I can test it on my system.

My guess is, it tries to use pam_systemd.so in some pam file.
Looks suspiciously like authentication related.
