Mozilla Thunderbird 78.5.1, the latest stable release which includes important security fixes, is now available in the Artix Universe repository, which can be enabled with
/etc/pacman.conf
[universe]
Server = https://universe.artixlinux.org/$arch
The name of the package is
thunderbird-artixpacman -Sy thunderbird-artix
If another thunderbird package is present then pacman will prompt to remove it before installing the thunderbird-artix package.
In case the existing profile is not recognized, file ~/.thunderbird/profiles.ini might need to be modified.
The api integrations for ie. location services for Google and Mozilla have been disabled, as well as crashreporter and updater, and jack audio enabled.
For details about changes and fixes check the Mozilla Thunderbird release notes (https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/releases/).
thunderbird-artix has been updated to 78.6.0
Hi all,
I would very much like to switch to Thunderbird, but unfortunately I have not managed to change the threadpane list in the 3-column view to 2 lines until today.
In Kmail as well as in Evolution Mail and even in Geary this is now standard.
Does anyone have any idea if this feature will be available at some point?
Thanks a lot in advance.
greets
Roberto

some like this?
Hi Alium,
like the vertical view but then in such a way that the 2nd column, i.e. the threadpane, is displayed in several lines.
Here is an example from geary mail client. The clients Kmail and Evolution Mail can do this as well.
This makes the mail list clearer for me.

Roberto

Hi all,Roberto
I would like to give Thunderbird-Artix a chance, but at the moment I fail to install the German language file.
I tried it via the settings and via the addons to install the language file for Thunderbird 91.0.
Unfortunately without success.
Have I overlooked an option?
greetings
Roberto
Has this package disappeared, or has my config gotten messed up?
It's no longer in universe. This package is now "thunderbird" in the world repo.
