Title: [SOLVED]Simplescreenrecorder can't record audio after new update
Post by: ironcrystal on 07 January 2021, 09:36:45
I fixed it somehow. Tried all combinations in pulse audio, one of them worked. I think it was the stereo duplex one, can't remember. Try each one see if one records.

I tried all combinations, both in pavucontrol and ssr. I mean literally. Can't record sound, I need desktop sound. Only sound I can record is microphone of the laptop, which is shadowed by laptop's fan.

In Pulseaudio I believe you can create a "monitor" device which can be used as input for recording and will contain sound produced by your system. I have it configured on my second PC to which I am not able to gt right now, so this is all I can say now.

hi, i installed and  tested  it. pulseaudio, alsa and jack was for select and  pulseaudio (and alsa too, but i think is provided by pulseaudio package) works without problems for me...

I use pulseaudio, because i need, that my system (inclusive sound) works properly :-)

simplescreenrecorder-0.4.3-1 is provided by archlinux

I think I already got it, builtin monitor thing right? But the older system was working  now it doesn't. My laptop is kinda old. I also have debian too, it works there.
