Post by: fredbeer on 03 June 2021, 21:20:36
After the latest update i get this message, pamac: error while loading shared libraries: libalpm.so.12: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Pamac isn't up to date with the latest libalpm, uninstall it or switch to octopi if you really must.

Other than that, see other latest topics in this subforum. There has been a major upgrade of pacman and libalpm, and Artix isn't including Arch repos by default anymore. You need to install package artix-archlinux-support now.

The only thing which is missing is the news item, hopefully there will be one eventually.

Download the package http://mirror6.layerjet.com/kaos/core/pacman-5.2.2-6-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst and unpack 2 files from it (libalpm.so.12, libalpm.so.12.0.2) to /usr/lib/

edit by alium: never do this please, if you want not broke system

Thats a terrible advise tbh.
If you forget to delete the extracted libalpm, it could lead to broken pacman.
Better wait for the update and/or try to patch pamac yourself.

I figured it out now, thanks.
Also thanks to user 'alium'.
The system itself did not allow me to make such a mistake.
Now I just waiting for update Pamac.
