Title: artix-archlinux-support (1-6) breaks dependency 'libsystemd' required by spotify
Post by: HelloBeastie on 05 July 2021, 17:51:25
Hi all,

Thanks for the great job you guys do at maintaining a systemd free system.
Trying to update my system today results in this message:

Quote
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing artix-archlinux-support (1-6) breaks dependency 'libsystemd' required by spotify

I checked and I do not have libsystemd installed so I am assuming when I built spotify it automatically used the appropriate openrc 'equivalent' and that's why it's still working fine.
I am currently getting my music 'off' spotify but in the meantime any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
So far I have tried to ignore spotify in my pacman.conf but to no avail.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this!

Your spotify is out of date. You will have to update spotify first.

Interesting that it was out of date in the first place.
But reinstalling it did the trick thanks!
