Title: [SOLVED] can't install plasma kde // appstream and appstream-qt in conflict
Post by: mattz7 on 31 August 2021, 12:39:55
HI!  :D

I was trying to install plasma-desktop and ran into this error:
Code: [Select]
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
/usr/lib/appstreamcli-compose exists in both 'appstream' and 'appstream-qt'

All I know is there is apparently a bug upstream - reddit thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/peqnof/appstream_error_when_updating_is_this_an_arch/)

Does anyone know when this will be fixed?

Matt

Seems it was fixed about an hour ago:

https://gitea.artixlinux.org/artixlinux/packages-qt5/commit/f54184f94f8a07319f2a12b0536e8954ed5db511

When mirrors sync, you'll be able to update.
