Title: HP 15 i5-1135G7 Intel Iris Xe Graphics - Artix Compatible?
Post by: kd4e on 18 September 2021, 03:32:46
Is there anything about the hardware in the HP 15 Laptop that might be a show-stopper to deploy Artix, please?

11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 Processor, Intel Iris Xe Graphics  (Specific Laptop Model: 15-dy2021nr, 2020)

Thanks!

May need "pci=noacpi" in grub cmd line to boot the system. HP ACPI is known not working well with Linux.

Looks like Linux may be fixing some of the chronic ACPI problems ...

My HP 250 G5 runs Artix perfectly without having to modify anything, if that is of interest.

That's good information.

The G5 is about $200. more than the 15. Reviews say it's a real solid laptop.

The 15 is several years newer technology.
