Hi,
I am back to Linux after being away for almost 8 years. Though I happily lived with Linux since 2000 till 2013. (Efi and UEFI stuff kept me out and I was quite busy).
Recently retired and I’m all free again. :)
I recently tried quite a few distros over the past couple months till I just found Artix.
Seems interesting and a great distro :+1:(I came from Endeavour, but I think Antix will be much responsive and fast - couldn't install yet).
What I love mainly about Linux -in addition to freedom and quality… etc.- is the community.
I hope I’m welcome!
Thank you.
Welcome aboard! I don't know if Artix is faster/more responsive, but it gives you more options for sure.
Btw the name is Artix
(Antix is another distro)
:D
Hi
@Nadir Sorry, it's just a typo.
Thank you
@calvinh for the welcome.
I've been distro hopping over the past 2 months. I almost tried everything even FreeBSD.
I recently learnt that non systemd distros are much faster and responsive. I just installed Artix and it really seems much faster and more resopnsive (I just came from Endeavour)
My machine is a bit old (2012), i5. HDD, 4GB RAM. So for sure I can feel the difference in performance between one distro and another.
What distros have you tried? Perhaps you have a powerful machine and SSD so you don't feel any distro slow?
Bonjour,
Welcome to you limotux. 8)
Merci beaucoup Monsieur
@tintin I am really glad I finally found Artix, so fast and responsive.
I am happy with it and above all the community and the support I get.
Please keep in touch.
