Title: [runit][XFCE] Backlight settings will not be remembered after reboot
Post by: marlhin on 15 January 2022, 19:34:53
Hey guys,

so basically as the title states if I change my backlight value via the XF86 keys on my laptop keyboard, these settings will be reset (to 50%) once I reboot. I have already searched the Internet and tried to find some options in my XFCE settings but to no avail, unfortunately.  I can't even remember if I had this problem before with XFCE since I started using it more then 8 years ago.

Do you guys have some ideas for a possible solution to this? Btw, I am using pretty much a stock XFCE without any customizations yet.

Thanks in advance!

Do you have the backlight-runit package installed?

Thank you very much! This solved my problem. Didn't know that I  actually needed that :)
