Seems this KDict you've mentioned was abandoned by KDE eons ago.

There seems to be a similar alternative GUI dictionary called GoldenDict (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GoldenDict), but it's a front-end to the dictd (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dictd#Hosting_Offline_Dictionaries) terminal program, which requires some setup to work. Both aren't available in the Artix repositories yet.

There is also "gnome-dictionary", which is available in the arch linux "extra" repository. It doesn't seem to have any extraneous dependencies when I tried installing on my Plasma system. There is also "Artha" from the AUR, which I have installed. "Artha" is w/o many frills but may be adequate for your needs. It does require that you install "wordnet-common", also from the AUR, as a build dependency.

Best regards.

I've tried out GoldenDict a while ago, but I've found out that there is no any decent dictionary or glossary available for this particular piece of software. Available dictionaries are just awful and completely unusable. The best way to use GoldenDict is to access online dictionary sites with it, but this can be better done via browser with an adblock plugin installed, otherwise your output will be spoiled with various banners etc.

Being a professional translator, I must admit that there is no decent translation software in FOSS. As a translator, you are restricted to proprietary dictionaries/glossaries like Trados or online resources like https://www.multitran.com/ (https://www.multitran.com/) or https://context.reverso.net/translation/ (https://context.reverso.net/translation/). There are also various specialized dictionaries bound to specific subject area or certain language pairs, including digitized academic dictionaries, depending on your needs.
