I've raised this issue once before, but i really think that a lot of artix users in the Oceania region would benefit greatly from a mirror in a trustworthy country.
aarnet.edu.au will mirror anything.They have mirrors for just about every *nix distribution you could think of.. you name it, it's probably there. To my surprise, artix was not there! which was very perplexing for me... Getting your stuff mirrored at aarnet is extremely easy.. especially if it's for a linux distro or educational material...
so please! contact aarnet and get them to add artix to their collection of linux distro package mirrors! it would make the user experience of a plethora of your users in the Oceania region a lot better.
Beomus, have you contacted aarnet (https://forum.artixlinux.org/index.php/topic,3687.msg23999.html#msg23999)?
My apologies, i misunderstood the response i got in the previous thread.
I was under the impression that they meant that if australian artix users contacted the artix developers, they would try to contact aarnet about an artix mirror.
I'll contact aarnet now.
I apologise for wasting the time of the developers.
I just got an email from aarnet, the repo is up at
https://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/artix
I just added it to my mirrorlist and updated from it, and it works flawlessly
Mirror list updated with our first mirror in Oceania. Thank you
@Beomus.
No problem! Glad I could help :)
