Hi,
I've installed vmware-workstation-openrc and vmware-openrc from the AUR. However, when I go to run rc-service vmware start I receive the following error:
Failed to initialize
* Error: vmware failed to start
Similarly if I run sudo vmware-modconfig --console --install-all I receive the following:
[AppLoader] GLib does not have GSettings support.
* WARNING: vmware is already stopped
Failed to initialize
* ERROR: vmware failed to start
I've been able to successfully load the kernel modules manually using sudo modprobe vmw_vmci vmmon vmnet and I've run up a Windows 11 VM although I haven't been able to get the network working on it without the vmware service being enabled. I also had to disable the TPM check as I wasn't able to add a TPM to the VM.
What should I do to resolve these issues?
