Got the following error while updating today:
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: virtualbox-guest-modules-artix: installing linux (4.15-1) breaks dependency 'linux<4.15'
I don't use virtual box on this machine so I uninstalled the guest modules to install linux 4.15. Not sure if this will causes issues for others but just want to let the devs know the issue I ran into
Same error with 4.14
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: virtualbox-guest-modules-artix-lts: installing linux-lts (4.14.20-1) breaks dependency 'linux-lts<4.10'
Somehow I don't think the solution would be to remove the kernel..
My install is in a VM (stable).
Sorry can't help you as I'm running on metal, What I can say is I had problems with LTS and ck kernels I ditched them and started to use the stock Arch kernel now at 4.15.3-2 no problems now with updates.
There is a problem with linux4.15 and virtualbox-guest-additions
https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/17311
Alternatively I think you can use --force to install the kernel and just will not be able to use virt-tools with that kernel.
When you say 4.15 you mean artix linux-kernel and headers, right? This is up to 4.15-4 in gremlins.
For those using vm you should wait for a little bit for artix to catch up to arch vm-tools
