Title: cpupower fails [informational only]
Post by: spliskin on 28 July 2022, 12:25:14
Just reporting that cpupower script /etc/dinit.d/cpupower  always reports failure. I know cpupower just runs once and that's it and it's not a high priority to fix. Some may be worried about seeing a failure but it does run fine. Yes, I know it's a scripted command ;)

Yes. I'm having this issue as well.
So you just manually run the command?

No. cpupower only needs to run once as far as I knew at the time. It's a scripted setup in dinit. The problem with the dinit script is probably the return code dinit received from cpupower when it's run. More than likely doesn't fit within the expected realm. Outside of the error, cpupower does actually run and limit the cpu accordingly. It's just annoying more than anything else, and I didn't bother looking further than that.

Hello,
The patch suggested by iacore on this thread works for me:
