Title: artix reop
Post by: robto on 27 August 2022, 12:41:15
Hi there, I installed artix and i liked. It's small simple and uses openrc as the init system. The problem is that the repo have very limited packages. I want to install alacritty and some security tools which are not in the repos. ( including window managers ) . So i want to add garuda or blackarch mirror to my system. I never done that before so guide me how to add the keyrings for those repos. Thanks

Arch repositories (which are a far better place to get Alacritty from than a random derivative's repo) can be enabled by following instructions here (https://wiki.artixlinux.org/Main/Repositories#Universe) and here (https://wiki.artixlinux.org/Main/Repositories#Arch_repositories). Or with this script (https://forum.artixlinux.org/index.php/topic,4361.0.html) if you're in a hurry.

To install the keyring, tell pacman to trust its signing key (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Pacman/Package_signing#Adding_unofficial_keys), download it with your browser and install it pacman -U.
