Title: [Solved]kwrite is removed from arch repos

Kwrite is not available in arch repos, but it is available in Artix repo and also conflicting with kate

Why was kwrite removed in the first place?

Strange that it was removed, but thanks much for pointing that out! It has been purged from our repos.

kwrite is in package kate now


kate /usr/bin/
kate /usr/bin/kate
kate /usr/bin/kwrite

the kwrite version in artix is
world/kate 22.08.0-1 (kde-applications kde-utilities) [installed]
    Advanced text editor
world/kwrite 22.04.3-1 (kde-applications kde-utilities)
    Text Editor

so it's safe to remove, artix's kate also contains kwrite
