Title: OpenRC init colors and graphics?
Post by: u666sa on 17 September 2022, 12:45:33
Can colors on that init text at boot time be changed? Perhaps add some graphics? For example I saw penguins at the top before, with openrc. How is that done?

AFAIK, the colors are hardcoded, one should change the sources and recompile openrc.

It's not openrc per se, it's called boot logo and appears if compiled in the kernel AND framebuffer (or early KMS) is activated AND no initramfs is used.
