Title: KDE Plasma Night Color won't start when planned
Post by: d1nuc0m on 13 November 2022, 23:24:46
Hi,
I'm having a strange problem with KDE Plasma and the Night Color.

If I set the Switching times to Always on night color, it works. Or, if I set Switching times to Sunset and sunrise at a manual location and apply, it calculates correctly the times and starts, but when I reboot it won't start (and we're well over the color full change time).

If, after the reboot, I go to the System Settings and change slightly the position and apply, nothing happens, but if I change the Night color temperature, then it applies the change correctly.

Suggestions on where/what could I look in the logs to troubleshoot?

Looks like an upstream issue, unless plasma uses internally some systemctl call (in which case it's also an upstream issue).

Thank you, I'll try to search in upstream issues and if necessary open one

Could you try "Sunset and sunrise at  current location" option?
