Hi!
Why here at Artix for building xscreensaver needed much less install dependincies that at Debian?
What makes Arch better than Debian? :)
are there any thoughts? :)
Maybe the *-dev files ?
In debian derived distributions the standard packages don't generally container header files. So you can run the contained program or another program can use it's libraries but you can't compile new programs which use those libraries. You have to install another *-dev package to be able to compile. For example dolphin & dolphin-dev.
In Artix / Arch that would be one package.
IMHO a simpler and better package management system. Rolling releases. The AUR. Originally creating your own install rather than installing from an iso but all that's a bit out of the window now for most users I guess ?
Thanks for reply! And why you using windows? ;)
Your welcome. And I'm not. Nor am I using Firefox 111.0. Blame the Firedragon browser. It's part of its fingerprint protection. Probably futile but the less they can pin you down on the better.
Though I can understand the assumption. I find it amusing.
Thanks! :)
>they can pin you down
Who can pin? Police? You live in country where information not free?
>Firedragon
Why? Firefox or Librewolf security is not enough?
I dislike being followed all around the internet by advertising companies.
So I do what I can to make it as difficult as possible for them. As I said it's probably futile. But I'd rather try.

Firefox not enough without changing a lot of advanced settings myself. Librewolf does it for you. Firedragon is a fork of Librewolf which is a little bit less restrictive. I prefer it though have in the past used both. https://github.com/dr460nf1r3/firedragon-browser
You do you, I'll do me ;)
Firefox defaults are crap. Our community ISOs use a profile with lots of privacy tweaks, but everything below is swiss cheese.
