I am new here, and fairly new to Linux.
I downloaded and installed artix-community-gtk-openrc-20230306-x86_64.iso. It is on a partition formatted in BTRFS. Made it through install and it rebooted fine.
I quad boot w/ Garuda, ArcoLinux and Reborn OS. I booted into each distro and updated my other 3. Then came back to Artix and checked for additional updates (AFTER enabling AUR). updated again. shut down.
today Artix makes it through grub and into the login screen. When I try to login the screen blanks and I get nothing. No error, no warning. Just a blank screen.
any ideas or should I just burn it and reinstall?
Well, it seems that I am a complete idiot. (in my defense, I did have steroid injections in my neck this morning... so I'm a little foggy from the meds they gave me.
It was logging into openbox (and when I right clicked I got a menu at least. Logged out. It goes into lxqt (I think it is) ok. Mate hangs for a minute or so before it displays anything...
So it isn't broke, just gimp-legged now.

Welel that explains everything then.
I went ahead and reinstalled (since it was new) with QT. My idle state went from ~850m to 2G. LOL (thats using Plasma)
