Title: How to use plasma on wayland?
Post by: Artt on 02 September 2023, 20:24:39
Hello,
I am setting up Artix on a new device with Plasma. I would like to use wayland for the plasma sessions.

As far as I know, the standard procedure is to install plasma-wayland-session. I did that - it added the Plasma (wayland).
However when I log in, (sddm lets me through) plasma fails to start and it just throws me back to SDDM.

I have tried installing the whole plasma package but it did not work.

How do I get it to work?
Should I provide more info?

You need to put environment configs. See Archwiki/Debian Docs. Otherwise it will be glitchy.
