Title: pacman update failing with weird conflict
Post by: rd on 04 December 2023, 16:17:31
Hello yall,

Im having this problem when I try to pacman -Suy

Code: [Select]
pipewire-pulse and pulseaudio are in conflict. Remove pulseaudio?

The weird thing is that I do not have pipewire-pulse installed but I only have "qemu-audio-pipewire" which I obliviously do not want to remove because I want it for qemu. I tried anyway to remove this package but the error kept happening anyway.

I also do not want to remove pulseaudio because that is how I have my audio set up.

Why does this happen and how do I prevent it? I just want to update

Could be a package you have installed now depends on pipewire-pulse but didn't previously ?

Can you post more of the relevant output and include the -v (verbose) option

It could be @gripped but I tried the same update today and the conflict did not happen anymore. I changed nothing in my system in the meantime so Im thinking this might have to do with the artix repo
