Title: Replace libblockdev-utils with libblockdev ?
Post by: Giorgio on 06 March 2024, 21:46:25
Hi everybody,

when attempting to update my packages, I get the prompt:  "Replace libblockdev-utils with extra/libblockdev? [Y/n]."
Can you give me a suggestion on how to fix it ?

I found this topic on the net, but before proceeding I was asking for help from those who are more experienced
here_the_topic (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=293397)

Thank you very much and..... viva ARTIX !

If I'm not mistaken, since you enabled arch repo, you will get two of these prompt.
you probably want to answer yes for the one that is using world as source an no for the one using extra as source.

If I'm not mistaken!!!

No Arch repos here, but I got the same pacman suggestion a couple of days ago. Though I don't see a problem to answer Yes here, since I guess it's the devs' decision.

I also see this today: Replace onevpl with world/libvpl? [Y/n]

I think these are just some rearrangements going on upstream (probably in Arch initially).
