Do you think that it will be a lot popular in the future?
Right if you want to use Artix looks like a problem.

I do think it will be very popular in the future, you could argue that it's already popular in many use cases. I think that it's slowly getting there, maybe a year or three from now we will have RISC-V in our laptops.
I think you can try gentoo on RISC-V right now.
