Title: Libre office package, can it be split?
Post by: NickStone on 14 October 2018, 22:28:54
I am wanting to install two of the apps from within Libre Office but I have to install all the apps (Writer; Calc; Base, Draw, Impress, Math). Can it be done so that only the packages you want can be installed?

We don't provide libreoffice in our repos, as it's not infected by systemd. You should probably submit your request to Arch forums/lists. Alternatively, you could take a look and modify Alpine's APKBUILD (https://git.alpinelinux.org/cgit/aports/tree/community/libreoffice/APKBUILD) and compile it yourself.

AFAIK Libre/OpenOffice is not modular. Even if you ommit some apps, these are merely shortcuts to launch soffice.bin with a given interface mask.
