Following numerous completed upgrades, telegram-desktop stopped booting tonight.
The pacman boot printout reveals an error, re the telegram-desktop initialization process;
"
pacman # telegram-desktop
telegram-desktop: symbol lookup error: telegram-desktop: undefined symbol: XXH64_reset
"

Thanks in advance - - -
Im also having the the same error.
telegram-desktop: symbol lookup error: telegram-desktop: undefined symbol: XXH64_reset
Artix xfce dinit fresh install. Using Hyprland now.
Does that mean that my entire Artix has to be reinstalled because of an unexpected change that knocked out telegram-desktop?
Or is is it that Artix has has fundamentally changed so that it needs to be a different type (Hyprland) to run the likes of Telegram-Desktop?
Is there a chance of this being resolved in future pacman upgrades, if left as it is?
No, you won't need to reinstall your OS. You likely did a system upgrade and got some new packages. Telegram probably needed some of those - and is now out of date.
Or telegram pushed out an update for it's apps, and a service update. The volunteers haven't caught up yet.
There is a telegram-desktop-bin dated today in AUR. The Arch Extra package that Artix probably pulls is marked as out of date.
(This status might and will change).
You can probably eek along on Telegram Web until these packages get updated and pushed to mirrors.
I'll see what I can do, but telegram is updated way to often by its devs imho, and keeping up with their versions is not at the top of my list.

Thanks all and thanks for the various heads-up's.
Starting telegram-desktop returns error XXH64_reset.
This seems to be related to https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/telegram-desktop/-/issues/13.
A build for new version 5.4.0 is running now, hopefully it will work the way it should.
