Title: Firefox tab crashes when entering into a Discord call.
Post by: strawman41 on 22 September 2024, 12:41:37
Interestingly, when joining into a voice call room by yourself, nothing happens, but at most a second after someone joins in, the tab crashes, and the following is printed when launched from the terminal:

Code: [Select]
[Parent 2590, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: process 2828 exited on signal 11: file /build/firefox/src/firefox-130.0.1/ipc/chromium/src/base/process_util_posix.cc:335

This only occurs with the package from the galaxy repository, the package from Arch's extra repository doesn't seem to have this issue.

Seems similar to https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/332540 and other recent reports, but no cause has been identified yet.

Pls install the new build firefox-130.0.1-1.1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst from galaxy-gremlins and test.

Installed, and the tab crash still occurs.

Code: [Select]
[Parent 8694, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: process 8904 exited on signal 11: file /build/firefox/src/firefox-130.0.1/ipc/chromium/src/base/process_util_posix.cc:335

Quite a while later, but I tried the Artix package again and it seems to be working now. Marking as solved.
